The UMW collect the 'pull tabs' from cans for the Ronald McDonald House in Orange, CA; the "Box Tops for Education" for the Coastline School; and, the Gold Lids from Yoplait Yogurt on the second Sunday of the month before and after worship services. You may drop any that you have collected at that time or bring them by the church office during the week. As a congregation of the United Methodist Church, we feel it is our responsibility to be God's hands on this earth. One means of demonstrating this concept, how we are faithful to Christ, and dedicated to serving Him, is to support outreach efforts both locally and globally. Globally, we support individuals through these organizations with letters, prayers, and funds:
Locally, we support several projects with time, prayers, and funding. There are many ways you can get involved in outreach to God's world. Join us for worship and contemplate your involvement. There are many ways to be a pair "God's helping hands". For example, the United Methodist Volunteers In Mission program has projects in progress around the world. Members of our congregation can help you find your calling. |
